The Kub story started in 2007 when we were part of the Dorel family, which included very well known brands including Maxi Cosi and Quinny. In the 4 years we were together the business grew significantly supplying all of the major UK retailers including Mothercare, Kiddicare and Toys R Us. We were also supplying a huge number of independent retailers around the UK. My time at Dorel was brilliant, it was a superb company to work for with some fantastic people who taught me a lot about the nursery industry.

Fast forward to the end of 2012 and changes in management and business approach meant that Dorel wanted to focus on their core business of Car Seats, Pushchairs and Small Nursery items (stair gates). Also at the time there seemed to be a retail war between the big high st names. With few options available to me, and my first daughter recently born I decided to take the plunge and buy Kub from Dorel and continue the business independently. It has been a roller coaster ever since and a continuous learning experience.

Our focus has always been on quality standards and ensuring our products always meet the strict safety requirements in each category. However with retailers continually demanding lower prices, our business with major high st retailers continued to decline. As a result we have been working more and more direct with our end customers over the last 3 years. As many famous high st names have collapsed they have all hurt us and many other suppliers financially.

Thankfully we are still going and we are stronger now than ever. This is due to the continued support of our customers. We continue to focus on our core categories and have relaunched our website to make the customer experience with our brand and company better than ever. As new parents we need to give you the peace of mind that the products you buy from us are as good if not better than you would find at other high st retailers.
